This informative and interactive training is designed for clinicians who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of effective supervisory skills used in clinical counseling. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of skills that can improve supervisory outcomes and strengthen supervisory relationships. Participants will also explore how different types of skills can be tailored to supervisees at various stages of clinical development and experience. This course will focus on skills used in individual supervision. Direct experience providing supervision is not required.

This training is designed to be a comprehensive overview of work with grief and loss in the individual outpatient therapy setting. Clinicians will review helpful considerations for grief work, as well as explore evidence-based strategies to assess and treat clients experiencing loss. Clinicians will also gain an understanding of the challenges posed with grief and loss, and have opportunities to practice skills through discussions and case vignettes.
